Temple Emanuel of Great Neck, 150 Hicks Ln., will present “Courting the Jester,” Robert Spiotto’s Musical Tribute to Danny Kaye. Multi-talented Bob Spiotto sings and dances in a non-stop overview of Kaye’s life, told with energy and humor. There will be a collection of new and used medical supplies at Great Neck Synagogue which will be delivered to the AFYA Foundation which collects all of these supplies and ships them in large containers to clinics and hospitals in developing countries in Africa and Latin America. The synagogue is calling for medical supplies including: wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, commodes, bandages, sutures, adult and baby diapers, unused needles, thermometers, eyeglasses, soap, anti-bacterial sprays, latex gloves, plastic sheets, diabetes supplies and whatever other supplies you have. No prescription medications. Nothing past expiration date. Special request for soft side carry-on suitcases and duffel bags to pack supplies in.
